Spring Skiing is Here. Is Your Skin Ready?

Spring has arrived in Colorado which means lots of fresh powder on the mountains and more time outdoors enjoying longer, warmer days. But as much as we are inspired, you can't forget that the endless sunshine, high winds, low humidity and sweat-generating activities at high altitudes can really do a number on your skin.

Thankfully, a few adjustments to your current skin care routine can keep your skin healthy and hydrated so you can get back outside and enjoy the day!

CLEANSING

Start with a gentle cleanser that can clean without drying you out. When I need an extra level of hydration, I ditch the soap and use our Salvation Cleansing Balm.  This multi-tasking cleansing balm is a triple threat hybrid balm that exfoliates, hydrates, and cleanses by removing makeup, dirt, and oil in one fell swoop.

EXFOLIATION

With the move into Spring, and more outdoor activities, you’ll want to increase your skin exfoliation to get rid of dead skin cells, dirt, and sweat.  Plus, regular exfoliation helps your other products to penetrate the skin more easily, like serums and moisturizers. We recommend using our Detox Mask.  Mix with yogurt, avocado for a little extra wellness.

HYDRATION

The dry air in Colorado can be especially harsh on the skin, so it's important to moisturize regularly. Choose a moisturizer that is designed for dry skin and contains ingredients like glycerin or ceramides to help hydrate and protect the skin.

Made to nourish and protect, our Lotion Bars are the perfect companion for any season.  Packed with shea and cocoa butters and antioxidant-rich and skin-balancing jojoba, ensuring that you’ll get the perfect level of hydration every time.
